I have all symptoms of hypothyroidism, but blood tests are normal. plus a swollen thyroid left side. What can cause this? Hair is really falling out.

TSH normal: It is unlikely that you are hypothyroid. Your symptoms may be related to menopause. It may help to consult your gynecologist for hormone replacement. Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Thyroid "normal": As you obviously know all your symptoms fit into hypothyroidism. What you may not know is that the so called normal range thyroid levels is rather broad.
