Can a mild deviated septum cause semi frequent nose bleeds? If so how or why does it cause nose bleeds?

A few things.: Most nosebleeds do not have an easily identifiable cause. Trauma to inside of the nose from nose picking very common. Other causes are exposure to warm, dry air for prolonged periods of time, nasal/sinus infections, allergic rhinitis, nasal foreign body (object stuck in nose), vigorous nose blowing, nasal surgery, deviated/perforated nasal septum, and cocaine use. Possible: Have you talked to your doctor about this? Nose pain can be from contact (from swollen turbinate touching the septum), sinus infection, nasal infection etc. If you have allergic rhinitis, you are more likely to get nosebleeds especially if you blow your nose hard and often.
