Why do I have a lupus flare during my menstrual cycle most of the time? Also my p.O.T.S symptoms worsen during this time how can I help this?
Inflammation: Lupus and the pre-menstrual phase of the cycle are both known for being states of increased inflammation, so it makes sense that you might have this and notice it during your menstrual cycle. I would speak with your rheumatologist regarding medications that are safe to take to diminish the flare symptoms, as some anti-inflammatories are harmful for kidneys. Best of luck. ...Read more

After PRC and LRTI lower bone on thumb does not rise up. So next joint rises causing hyperextension of thumb. Dr. Doesn't know what to do.
??: sorry but not really sure what PRC stands for /as far as inability to extend the first metacarpal lower bone of thumb ) with hyper extension of the "thumb joint" this is probably a combination of a lack of solid reattachment of the extensor pollicus brevis to the base of the metacarpal as well as some chronic or acute damage to the volar plate of the MCPJ ( thumb joint) this is not uncommon ...Read more
