Nri's poorly visualize nerves since they are small at the level of the foot. If the pain shoots or radiates or tjhe area tingles when u tap where it hurts it is possibly a nerve problem. Seek another opinion with a foot specials. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I have top of foot pain that worsens with exercise. Scheduled soon for mri. Will this test show tendonitis even if it has begun to heal?
Probably: Mri is excellent for evaluating the tendons of the body. Even mild abnormalities are usually visible. Normally, the tendons look black and have smooth contours. Abnormal tendons may be thick or may have fluid in or around them. This shows up very well on an mri.
