It is wise : To get your vitamin d levels within normal range but i would look for others reasons to explain your leg pain. From a podiatric point of view i would assess the biomechanics of your lower extremity. I would specifically look for excessive pronation or flatfeet. ...Read more

As long as the pain is tolerable, and you do not have progressive increasing weakness, or lose the ability to control the bladder or bowels, the vast majority of disk herniations can be treated without surgery. Could be Shin splint: Shin splints are not necessarily on the bone. What happens is that the muscle belly gets pulled from the bone, but the pain can be palpated on the muscle itself. Have to know why, what activity were you doing, etc. Rest, ice area and see if pain goes away. If not, seek medical attention. ...Read more
