Why Do Some Athletes Eat High Carbohydrate Foods The Day Before The Competition
High carb diet: Actually a high comlex carbohydrate diet is recommended before any sterenous exercise, such as running a marathon. Complex carbohydrates like pastas are different from simple carbohydrate like sugar because they are metabolized slowly to provide sustained energy that is needed for ptolonged, sterenous exercise. Proteins are not a good source of energy.
What's the cause of diarrhea occurring every time after workout and after I eat heavy foods? (ex. Foods high in carbohydrates)
Why do high fat foods and high carbohydrate foods make me go into tachycardia. I have SVT and take atonelol. I can't eat those kinds of food.?
Empty calories: When you eat high calorie foods without the necessary vitamins that process them it is like choking a car engine with too much gas that can't be burned efficiently. You are taking a drug that tries to block the nervous messages by which you adapt to environment. If you get rid of the empty calories your cellular engines will run better. See my post on diet.
Can you tell me what could I eat on a strictly whole-food, high-fiber, low simple-carbohydrate, low-fat diet?
I get pain in the upper left quadrant abdominal for the past 8 years everytime I eat high fatty foods or high carbs, ?
Hmm: If you were in my office I'd examine your abdomen, order an ultrasound of your upper abdomen with attention to the pancreas, perhaps order a serum amylase, along with fasting blood sugars, perhaps insulin levels, and a general metabolic panel. If the studies came back normal I'd probably refer you to a GI specialist to make sure I didn't miss something unusual.
What are some food that I can eat that's high in protein and fat but low in carbs? I always come up short in protein and I use calorie trackers.
Nuts may be best bet: Don't know whether you are looking for snack or regular foods. Of course meat would be the obvious answer, but nuts contain very good fats as well as significant protein. Almonds and walnuts are probably best. So do cheeses. Of course they have calories, but you do need fats and calories at your age to continue to develop normally.
I'm training judo and I had problems with my stomach. So what food to eat 1 day before a competition and on the next day just before a warm up?
A guess: Carb up the day before the match & eat light before the warm up with foods that don't upset your stomach (when ii used to wrestle we'd starve ourselfs to make weight and then chow down after the weigh in so we'd be as much as 15 lbs heavier by match time (mostly rehydration) which wasn't the greatest health-wise!
My nutritionist says I need to eat 240 g of carbohydrates per day to lose weight and control my glucose. What kind of foods should I eat to meet this goal?
That's a start: If you can distribute your food including slow carbs like quinoa, amaranth, and buckwheat groats soaked for 8 hours, rinsed and cooked for 15 minutes with vegetables, berries, beans, and fish into 6 small equal meals followed by 10 minutes of movement like walking after each meal, stress reduction, and a good night sleep weight loss happens.
Depends: If you eat dairy products you can try greek yogurt or cottage cheese (otherwise soy/almond/coconut yogurt). Non dairy sources include chia seeds, beans, lentils, quinoa, eggs, artichokes, broccoli, avocado, asparagus, tofu, peas, spinach, beet greens, peanuts, pistachios, sesame seeds, garbanzo beans.
Depends: It depends on what type of sport they are doing. But in general a meal with high carbohydrates.See 1 more doctor answer
Protein, good fats,: And carbs are called "macronutrients." Eat all three but stay lowest on carbs. Avoid bad fats in junk food, anything w/corn syrup. Good fats are olive oil and coconut oil. Avoid sugar. See doc for suggested diet. Spectracell labs in TX can test all your nutrients. Peace and good health. Carbs work together w/protein and fat and then the micronutirens like vitamins and minerals.

Beats me!: I don't think you need to worry over that.
Running: Most runners will hydrate well days before run and then do a protein load 2 dys before then a carbohydrate load 1 day before. During the run many will refuel with complex protein bars and water.
What to do if I know not to eat too much food with carbohydrates, what is the amount that I do need to eat?
Type of carbs: You want to avoid large amounts of simple carbs (like sugar) but complex carbs are ok in reasonable amounts. Protein is good, but too much fat will reverse any benefit of avoiding carbs. And any diet without an increase in activity is doomed to fail. You need to burn more calories not just decrease your intake. Even if you start with simple walking... Just get our heart rate up.
Vegetables: Fruits and vegetables are complex carbohydrates that you can eat especially spinach, brocolli and asparagus loaded with proteins.
