What can I do for GERD that won't respond to omeprazole, carafate, (sucralfate) Tums or gasx. No delayed emptyor h pylori, have gastritis esophagitis. Help in pain?

Nexium (esomeprazole) a great med.: Can certainly try bland diet & avoid acid containg or producing foods & beverages & raise head of your bed. Avoid smoking, caffeine containing beverages, fried & fatty foods. May still have acid reflux & get tired of this boring diet. Prilosec for 15yrs,weaned off cause benign gastric polyps. Tried pepcid, Zantac (ranitidine) didn't help reflux. Safe to go back to Prilosec which I know helps me.
Gastric polyps: Benign gastric polyps are common in patients on long-term Prilosec. As the name suggests, they are benign and do not cause long-term issues. If you are unable to control your reflux with any medicines besides Prilosec, then it would likely be safe for you to go back on it. What is a good pill for gastritis I have tried omeprazole, Dexilant (dexlansoprazole) and prevacid they help but not enough help?

Depends: Depends of what is the reason for an ulcer. If it i'd due to h. Pylori infection, than you need course of antibiotics, there are other reasons for peptic ulcers and in each case you won't get rid of an ulcer unless you eliminate the cause. Need doc: Assuming these diagnoses were made with appropriate imaging and are correct, then you need to inform the treating doctor. "plan b" may be in order. Were you instructed to modify certain life style issues such as drinking alcohol and smoking and you didn't? The medications need help from the patient. 2-3 months: If you were having a particularly bad time with GERD symptoms, try weaning yourself off the medication after 2-3 months and see what happens.
