My big toes hurt@night, the outside of big toes, are red and a little more dry looking than the rest, also my pinky's toes. Ache on outside of my feet?

Several things!: Could be activity related-what did you the day or two before. Are shoes supportive and good fit. If the pain does last for more than a few days, it may represent arthritis. But classically things doctors think of that cause toe pain, are fractures (if you traumatized it) or gout/pseudogout (crystal problems that affect joints), even infections or non-infectious inflammation (like synovitis). Need more info: Any history of foot injury? How long has your toes hurt? Which toes? 2 right toes? 2 left toes? 1 right? 1 left? Have you considered seeing a podiatrist?
