Depends: Umbilical hernias are very common. Constant pain isn't typical of a reducible hernia, but can iccur when incarcerated, meaning it doesn't easily push back in. Diagnosis in your age group is an internal hemorrhoid or an anal fissure...both are very treatable and your Family Physician or GYN can diagnose and most likely treat. In the meantime SITZ baths (Sitting in the tub and adding hot water) are very helpful!
