If there is soft squishy joint swelling and morning stiffness, rheumatoid arthritis would be possible but in RA several joints are affected and usually both hands. Unsure of injurty: I am not sure what a capsule is but if you have any swelling around a joint for that long that does not get better it needs to be seen by a doctor as it might be a broken bone- especially if it happened after an injury ...Read more
