I walk only a few blocks my hands get swollen and tingle what does this mean? This is all the time!

See a doctor: This almost sounds like a question on the last internal medicine board exam, the answer i believe was hoping one would recognize hereditary angioedema. I have pain in both of my legs when I walk - my hands and fingers are swollen?

Consider this: You may have osteoarthritis. Blood tests do now show anything. You may want to try to eliminate all dairy, red meat and sugar from your diet for 1 week and see if this improves. I have seen many cases of osteoarthritis mistaken for chronic inflammation due to dietary causes. If it persists, you should see your pcp. ...Read more

SSo stubbed my pinky toe and it only hurt for like 10 mins. When i got home from work an hr later. It hurts bad and turned like a black color why did it do this. Is it possibly broken? It also hurts to walk on and is swollen

Goll Darn-it.: Swelling, pain and bruising are certainly classic signs of sizable trauma to the toe. Immediate care should include elevating the foot, applying ice to the toe and staying off of it as much as possible. Probably not: If there is not a significant amount of pain associated with your injury, there is not much medically that can be done. When blood collections under a nail are painful, a hole is burned into the nail to reduce the pressure. Significant nailbed injuries often result in the nail peeling off and some people opt to have it removed to prevent snagging on socks, etc. ...Read more

4 weeks ago i hit my pinkie toe. Got an x-ray, no fracture. It's still swollen & hurts to walk on in the mornings mostly. Do i get it checked again?

Yes: It might just be a contusion but sometimes one needs to take serial xrays to compare them and might see none changes. Either way, i'd recommend a surgical shoe. ...Read more
