Why do my feet feel sore and swollen at night?

Why do my feet feel sore and swollen at night?

Varicose veins?: If you have veins that you can see in your legs, think about seeing a phlebologist (vein specialist). If you don't see any veins, you could try wearing compression stockings during the day. If that helps, I would still see a phlebologist. If no veins and stockings don't help, a visit to a podiatrist might be in order. Seeing your primary care doctor before anyone else is never a bad idea.

See doctor: Warmth and pain are two of the cardinal signs of inflammation. See primary care doctor or rheumatologist to make sure that you do not have an underlying autoimmune disease like rheumatoid arthritis. They may intern have you evaluated by a foot specialist for evaluation.

Stepping on a nail: Requires medical attention. You may need tetanus shot depending on your last booster shot. Also if there is redness and swelling may need anti biotics, so best you get to a doctor right away.

I'd consider: An ingrown toenail if around the nail, gout is a possibility if around the metatarsal head. ....I'd recommend you see a foot doc.

See your MD: See your MD for a full exam. Take a pregnancy test. Your MD needs to give you a full exam and take a careful history as this can have many causes. For symptomatic treatment, you can rest, ice, elevate and use your socks to compress. Make sure you are not pregnant before taking any NSAIDs which can help for relief until you can see your MD. Good luck.

My big toes hurt@night, the outside of big toes, are red and a little more dry looking than the rest, also my pinky's toes. Ache on outside of my feet?

Different toe Box.: So let me see. The outside of the big toes and the outside of the little toes, both hurt and are a little red. The first place I would be looking for a cause is your shoes. The areas in question are the areas that that receive the most pressure from shoes that are not fitting your foot right. Red dry looking and aching are the warning signs of ingrown toenails, or at least inflamed nail borders.

Y do my feet & legs hurt ache lot? Cramp also. I can barely stand to walk or stand sometimes. & when lay down night feel crawling achy feeling n legs

Not a simple answer: Leg cramps can be simple dehydration or electrolyte abnormality to serious problems like myositis, spinal stenosis. "restless leg syndrome" is not well understood and tends to be used clinically as a catch all diagnosis when nothing better fits. Environmental chemicals, pesticides, nutrient deficiencies likely play a role in some people.

I'm 17, I have a severe aching pain in my ankles and knees at night to the point where I can't fall asleep, I play sports and am constantly on my feet?

I'm 17, I have a severe aching pain in my ankles and knees at night to the point where I can't fall asleep, I play sports and am constantly on my feet?

It sounds like you: R putting a lot of mechanical stress on your ankle and knee joints. To reduce the pain, you may have to stop the activity that is causing the pain. Acute joint pain is treated with R.I.C.E. (rest, ice, compression (for any swelling with an ace bandage), elevation (also for swelling)).If there is any redness or swelling, you need to c a doc to examine these joints and order x-Rays, labs, meds, excuse to coach

I have had a constant migraine since 8 last night. Also nausea sore calves and upper arms. The soles of my feet are sore too. What could be wrong?

I have had a constant migraine since 8 last night. Also nausea sore calves and upper arms. The soles of my feet are sore too. What could be wrong?

? systemic disease?: You appear to have symptoms that affect many different systems. The migraine effect may indicate problems with the brain, the soreness problems with the muscles and the peripheral nerves, the nausea problems with the stomach. A thorough medical evaluation would be appropriate. You may have problems with blood pressure, blood sugar, viral syndrome, or a more serious disorder.

The bottom of my feet constantly ache when sat down help?

Be seen: There are multiple potential causes, so I would not hesitate to be seen and examined. One if the more common causes of heel pain is plantar fasciitis, which causes pain and tenderness along the heel of the foot. Neuropathy is a fairly common cause of a burning sensation in the soles of the feet, more common in patients with diabetes or thyroid disease.

Maybe: You could, but there are a lot of possibilities that affect wound healing. Thankfully, screening for diabetes is very easy - a simple blood test can tell you if you have it. If not, your doctor can help look for other causes.

Why are both my feet sore like the heels are turning under?

Why are both my feet sore like the heels are turning under?

Plantar fasciitis: Most pain in heels are due to overuse and strain of the plantar fascia. Make sure that your heels on your shoes are not worn to the side. Do stretching before you get up and apply warm compresses to area.
