Will I be sick? I put on deodorant, and under one of my arm pits, it stings. I think I cut it shaving, & the deodorant says don't use on broken skin.?

Unlikely: Assuming the use of a normal amount of deodorant, a dose received internally from a small cut would be insufficient to cause systemic illness. The warning is most likely based on the discomfort one would feel if the deodorant is applied to broken skin, not any major illness. ...Read more

How can you determine a lipoma on upper arm and if its tender? And if its removed will I be put to sleep anf be given something for pain if

Easy removal: Most lipomas are easy to remove and can be done with you awake. I remove these all the time under local anesthetic. The risk of general anesthesia, although small, is seldom warranted for this type of surgery.

Post operative pain is usually mild and easily controlled with tylenol (acetaminophen). ...Read more

Pain and aching in arm where Intervenous was put in this happened 6 days ago?

Look at area: It is not unusual to have a mild amount of pain and a swelling the size of a dime or a quarter after an intravenous (IV) needle is removed. If the area is red, larger than that, or has a red streak, tenderness, and runs up your arm, it could be serious - phlebitis or an infection. Much depends on the medicine that was injected through the IV. If it looks like that go to urgent care or Emergency. ...Read more

Why do I get bumps under my arms after using deodorant? I get 1 or 2 large bumps underneath my arm after using deodorant of any kind. It hurts and it usually itches. And I kind of want to know why I get these bumps and what they are? Please help?

Why do I get bumps under my arms after using deodorant? I get 1 or 2 large bumps underneath my arm after using deodorant of any kind. It hurts and it usually itches. And I kind of want to know why I get these bumps and what they are? Please help?

There: There is a possibilty these bumps are not due to deodorant, especially if they are only on one side. You may be dealing with sebaceous cysts or even an enlargment of lymph nodes.
On the other hand you may have microscopic cuts under your arm from shaving, deodarant can then get into these cuts an cause an allergic reaction, which may cause the bumps and itching.
I recommend making an appointment with your primary car provider or a dermatologist if possible for evaluation and treatment.
In the meantime you may want to discontinue all deodorant and use aloe vera on the affected area; also baby powder can be used for perspiration.
Good luck. ...Read more

Hidradenitis?: This sounds like infection deep in the skin, perhaps hidraditis suppurativa, or maybe just straightforward folliculitis. Search online for more information about HA including photos. I doubt this has anything to do with your deodorant. Still, best to stop using it for the time being and see your doctor. This should be easy to diagnose. Curing HA can be difficult, but control usually is possible. ...Read more

It can be very debilitating and often requires surgery to remove the affected skin. She needs to see her doc to be evaluated and treated. This is an excellent synopsis by dr. David miller. ...Read more
