Few things: Are the episodes random? Or are they clustered, happening night after night? If you are in your late 40's, and female with clustered sweats, this could be hormonal. Unrelated?: Your night sweats may or may not have anything to do with your periods. You need to start taking your temperature, not when you awaken, because it the sweating bringing the temp down, but if this happens at the same time, wake up 20 mins before the sweat and take your temp. If you have been running fevers, go and see a doctor. This has the potential to be serious. Good luck. ...Read more

See a doctor: Hi. That is very abnormal. The things that come first to mind include various infections, several malignancies, and hyperthyroidism. Any other symptoms like fever, loss of appetite, and/or unintended weight loss? Any enlarged lymph nodes you can feel? I feel quite safe in telling you it's not the citalopram. Please see your doc sooner than later. Good luck! ...Read more

Why do I keep having night sweats , i wake up saturated from head to toe ? X
