Whenever I take Melatonin to help me sleep (about once every couple of months) I ALWAYS wake up during the night feeling wide awake. Why is this?

For awhile: You could, for awhile -- but chances are that you'll eventually need a higher dose for the same effect. Have you looked into why you're having difficulty with your sleep to begin with?
