Is there swelling: In the elbow along with the pain? What do you do daily in a routine that could have caused elbow pain? Often it is associated with repetitive motion from, say, heavy weight lifting such as dumb-bell curls, or hyperextension of the elbow such as when operating heavy machinery that requires a lot of lateral pushing. It's very easy to push it back farther to the point of "no return" and risk your child aspirating the object. Knee cap: If it is burstitis in front of your knee cap (not behind knee cap) then put hot towels on it and don't kneel or bend much. Use Motrin too. If it does not get better within a week have it checked out. Also I assume you have no foreign bodies under the skin from some accident. Read more
