My son is7month old. Almost 1 month he sleeps very bad at night wakes up few times and fomfortly continious to sleep on my hands. What's wrong?
Why do my hands swell and hurt when I'm sleeping and sometimes even when I'm not sleeping? I don't sleep on my hands.
My thumb and index finger have been numb for 3 days now. I know I sleep on my hands also but never this long.
I'm diabetic and have been for close to 17yrs. I woke up the other day and my hand was numb, thought it was because I sleep on my hands and sometime that happens but it goes away later. It did not and the tips of my fingers are numb. Should I go to the d
See a neurologist: If your symptoms are not in legs but only one hand or even 2 hands then likelihood of carpal tunnel syndrome is more. My fingers turn white when I get cold and I have a lump on my wrist - could this be carpel tunnel? Nothing hurts yet - I sleep on my hands too.
2 things: The white fingers could be raynaud's phenomenon -- the simple treatment is to always keep your hands warm (wear mittens and not gloves in the cold). The lump on your wrist is most likely a ganglion cyst -- it may resolve spontaneously or never really bother you enough to do anything with it. You could take meds if your fingers become painful; you could have surgery is your cyst gets in the way. ...Read more
I do this also: There may be several factors. It could be a response to the stresses in our lives. Some people clench and grind their jaws and teeth and some people exhibit their tensions elsewhere. Clenching my hands has exacerbated my carpal tunnel condition causing tingling in my hands. I now where a brace to help prevent me from clenching my hands. You may want to see a hand specialist, I did. ...Read more
I fall asleep quicker if lying on my right side but have an issue falling/going back to sleep on my left. Is it because I'm right handed?
Heart Anatomy: Not your handedness, but the location of your heart determines this. Your heart is on your left side and when you sleep most people will sleep on there right side, because you do not put pressure on your heart as when you lay on your left side. People do turn through the night and sleep on there back and left side for a period of time. ...Read more

Can hard excercise give u hands sleeping feeling, my hands hurts a little, and are semi sleep, I and working hard on weights, can this be due to this?
POSSIBLY: If you are lifting weights with a grip that is too tight, it may contribute to your symptoms. You may have a bar that is too thick (olympic bar vs standard?) you may want to use weight gloves. If in doubt, I would seek out a personal trainer. If symptoms persist or get worse, see a dr. ...Read more

My hand/s swells only when I sleep, I lift my hand and whatever is in there drains back into me and it goes away. What could cause this?
Hand swelling: I wonder if your hand swells because it is hanging below the side of the bed or whether there is some constriction of venous flow by some twisting position of your wrist as you sleep. The symptom certainly appears to be positional as I assume your hand doesn't swell at other times when you're up and about. If swelling appears at other times have your MD examine your arm and hand. ...Read more

Squashed nerves: Most likely, you fell asleep in a position in which you had prolonged pressure on the sensory and motor nerves of the arm. This would provide temporary numbness and weakness. I presume that things returned to normal after a while. If not, you should follow up with a physician. ...Read more
