Not likely: It's not very likely that these two medications would cause significant changes to your menstrual cycle. I would look at other possible causes like your thyroid disorder or not taking your pills around the same time of the day as possible trigger for irregularities. ...Read more

For the past 3 months, i've been getting very light periods that last up to 3 days. It used to last 5 days with heavy flow. I'm not sexually active.

Anovulation: One explanation for bleeding that is irregular and lighter than a period is because you are not ovulating. In this case, the lining seems to build up and then shed irregularly.
