Hip pain, in outside hamstring below butt, and outside of hip. Since i dance a lot, doing certain moves, (kicks, turns, and jumps) hurt really bad. I know i injured it doing a kick tilted over, i hyper extended my supporting leg and pushed out my hip, and

I : I agree with dr. Kessous. You should start with relative rest, ice and some over the counter antiinflammatories. However, given that you are a dancer, and age 15, you could have easily pulled a tendon off the bone, possibly even pulling a small piece of bone with it. If conservative measures with rest, ice and anti-inflammatories doesn't allow you to return to dancing, then you should see a sports medicine specialist to get the proper diagnosis and treatment plan. ...Read more

Sciatica: True sciatica is leg pain that shoots from back, down the leg past the knee. This mimics the path of the sciatic nerve, thus it's name. Mri of the spine would be diagnostic. I would surmise given the hip and calf pain, that this is more likely pinched nerve than a problem with both hip and knee (less common). If persistent, get into a spine/pain doc for an evaluation. No need to hurt so badly. ...Read more

Mid and lower back pain pops all the time and pight side hip pain hurts if i sit too long or walk a lot, what could be wrong? Going on months now.

Back Pain: Very common condition due to improper position and chronic strain. Will not go away immediately and slowly start stretching the back with yoga exercises- gentle stretch, avoid soft chair and bed, keep a good posture at all times, ice and get gentle massage when in pain. Firm beds are helpful to wake up pain free in the morning. Swimming is best exercise for back pain. ...Read more

Make sure: First you need to be evaluated that this is not a blood clot as calf swelling typically is not associated with a sciatica and a DVT or deep vein thrombosis or blood clot can mimic sciatic like symptoms including the pain with walking and a limp. Get checked now. ...Read more

I have been suffering from urethral pain, urgency since i had a kidney stone pass 9/20/13. I fell & had a bad hip injury in october and had a cystoscope it was normal. Lots of back & hip pain. Causes

Medication: First rule out a urinary tract infection or bladder inflammation. If no infection, treatment with a medication for overactive bladder may relieve your urgency. An orthopedic surgeon should investigate your ongoing back and hip pain looking for hairline fracture, etc. And , if indicated, ordering bone scan, ct scan, mri, etc. ...Read more

I have si joint pain and hip pain had tests and no one knows why. On sitting I notice that my knee turns inwards lots could this be the cause?

SI joint is cause.: When one has SI joint pian, it is caused by a small but excessive roaotion forward (anterior) of the hipbone at the joint. This causes pain, irritation of other structures. Richard DonTigny, a physical therapist, developed this idea and the simple exercises. He taught me 10 years ago; i find that VERY FEW physicians are aware of the SI joint. Look up Richard on web or see: www.irwinabraham.com ...Read more

Moved somewhat: It is known that these stones will hurt when they move. Bleeding will also occur. Can't always tell where it is by the pain. The closer to the bladder, the more likely you will feel it in the groin area or back. The best way to know where it is, is with an X-ray . Hope it passes quickly ...Read more
