Why Do I Have Heartburn When I Have Not Eaten
I suffer from heartburn but recently after I eat I get a burning sensation in my lower stomach it starts at the left of the abdomen and moves in the middle all the way up to my inner chest area?
When I eat very acidic tomato sauce I feel it start burning all the down. Had awful heartburn throughout pregnancy but not pregnant anymore. Gerd?
Yes gerd likely: but sometimes is worse during pregnancy since stomach is pushed u and relaxes esophageal sphincter but if tomatoes bother you avoid them for now , gerd precautions are to eat 6 small meals instead of 3 to avoid overflow of stomach , elevate head of bed 6 inches for gravity to push down and avoid eating 3 hours before bed or just small amounts. it may pass. ...Read more

GERD: is a "finding" by studies (X RAY.....GASTROSCOPY) and may be completely ASYMPTOMATIC! Thus your pain is NOT explained by GERD but the normal studies should be encouraging!
