Yes: I just don't know how sharp chest pains could ever be considered "good" (!), but it's unlikely to be your heart. Other considerations include pleurisy, pneumonia, gall bladder disease, costochondritis, myofascial syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, shingles, and others.

Having chest pains on the right side up into my neck no physical activity being done just started hurting

Having chest pains on the right side up into my neck no physical activity being done just started hurting

Muscles!!!!: Think flesh/tissue and not heart or lung! Began heat and massage. See your doc! I might be the rib margins at the sternum too. If you press on the fronts of your chest and find a super tender area, you have put your finger on it! This is costochrondritis. Still see your doc.

Hi, I am having chest pains on the right side which radiates to the back. Pain only feels at certain postures like standing straight and coughing.

Musculoskeletal Pain: It is most probabely Musculoskeletal pain.Which means it is either in muscles, other skeletal structures in the chest wall as it is related to activities like standing and coughing which makes your chest move. You can try some over the counter meds like Aleve (naproxen) or Ibuprofen et if you do not have stomach ulcer or allergies to Aspirin, ibuprofen oe Naprosyn. But consult your doctor if it is ok to take

Muscle Strain: You are suffering from non-cardiac chest wall pain which is often secondary to musculoskeletal causes. The pain may be secondary to a muscle strain in the chest wall itself, or in the back. Pain is increased with motion of the chest and when breathing deeply, sneezing, or coughing. Pain is not associated with shortness of breath, sweating, nausea, or fever. Managed with heat, rest and NSAIDs.

I have been having chest pains on the right hand side and when I do I have a rapid pulse of around 120bpm my mum has angina do you think its linked?

No way to know for..: Although it very unlikely in a 19 year old, there are things like a congenital malformation of the coronary arteries or a myocardial bridge that can cause it, so go see a doctor and get it checked out.

What could it mean if I have chest pains on my right side during and after drinking a couple of drinks. Knowing I already have an irregular heartbeat?

Chest pains not nl: Difficult to determine why you are having chest pains upon drinking beverages. So, it's best to consult your physician, or cardiologist if this continues, as it's not normal to have this happen. You didn't specify which type of drinks, so if it's alcoholic beverages you are referring to, this may be increase or exacerbate the feelings of chest pain that may or may not be referred. It must be cked!

I have chest pains on both sides when I lean on my arms or stretch arm side 2 side. Feels tight under arms &Throbs. Very uncomfortable what cause this?

Chest pain: Chest pain can be from heart disease, inflamation of the lining of the lungs (pleurisy) caused by infection (pneumonia, etc). Pain may also originate from the joints between the breast-bone and ribs. Indigestion, gall-bladder disease, stomach ulcers and acid reflux into the food pipe may cause chest pain also. Breast pain may be related to hormone changes or fibrocystic breast disease.

I have chest pains on the left side when laying down at night. I'm 25 years old, 5' 11", 270 pounds. I've always taken it as heart burn, but am worried?

Chest pain: You need an evaluation to determine the cause of the problem. If it is heart burn you need treatment. It is hard to determine heart vs heart burn. See your doctor.

Chest pains but in left side?

Chest pains but in left side?

Not specific: Pain on the left side of the chest can be caused by many problems ranging minor ones that tend to get better on their own (like a muscle strain) to the very serious and life threatening, like a pulmonary embolism or blood clot in the lung. A doctor can sort this out based on the kind of pain, other symptoms, physical exam and maybe tests. If persists or severe best to see a physician
