Why Do I Get Sore Achy Eyes The Morning After Drinking
Why would you have yellow coloring on the sides of your eyes the morning after drinking a bottle of wine in one night? Liver tests are normal.
May be unrelated: The description of yellow coloring on the sides of the eyes is commonly an entity called a pingueculum which is a raised, yellowish patch often on both eyes. These are often more prevalent with age and sun exposure as well as genetics. In general, don't rub the eyes & try using more artificial tears drops. If any symptoms occur or the shape worsens or changes, then best to see your eye doc. ...Read more

Many thanks Wayne?

Day after I drink alcohol I wake up with crusty eyes and sore fingers. Could this allergy or intolerance? If so what's in booze to cause this?
Get slight blurry vision in eyes when waking in morning. After few rubs and blinks it becomes normal. Why does this happen?
Dried eye fluid: Could be that you inadvertently sleep with your eyes slightly open, causing fluid to dry. A few rubs and away it goes. I assume no further symptoms throughout the day, such as eye discharge, loss of vision, redness in the eye, etc? If those occur, then see a dr. To be evaluated for conjunctivitis. Sounds like it only occurs in the morning and can go away. ...Read more
What can I use for my 6 year old daughter's eyes. when she wakes up in the morning she get white dry dirt in her eyes. Sometimes she complains that they are sore.
See eye doc: This can be due to several causes, but the white dirt might actually be a form of discharge that accumulates overnight. Some causes of this type of discharge can cause inflammation/swelling and ultimately can even threaten the quality of eyesight. I would recommend getting a firm diagnosis if possible, earlier the better. ...Read more
Could be many things: There are many things this could be. You should discuss with your primary care physician. Wine is acidic.: Wine is acidic. If you have exposed roots from recession or wear on the biting surfaces of the teeth there is exposed dentin. Why does my stomach have some pain? I had too much to drink two days ago and puked black that night, but the morning after I puked normal.
Alcohol is poison: Vomiting is a primitive reflex that developed so that the body could rid itself of a poison before it causes damage. There is little nutritional value to alcohol. On the contrary, too much alcohol will hurt you--both acutely & over a prolonged exposure (see prior healthtap answers regarding alcohol toxicity).
