Why do I get sore achy eyes the morning after drinking?

Dry eyes: Alcohol, poor sleep, lack of sleep, not closing the eyes well when sleeping, etc. Can all cause a lack of oil/tear production while sleeping. This causes inflammation and redness. Try warm compresses and or artificial tears in the morning.

Why would you have yellow coloring on the sides of your eyes the morning after drinking a bottle of wine in one night? Liver tests are normal.

Why would you have yellow coloring on the sides of your eyes the morning after drinking a bottle of wine in one night? Liver tests are normal.

May be unrelated: The description of yellow coloring on the sides of the eyes is commonly an entity called a pingueculum which is a raised, yellowish patch often on both eyes. These are often more prevalent with age and sun exposure as well as genetics. In general, don't rub the eyes & try using more artificial tears drops. If any symptoms occur or the shape worsens or changes, then best to see your eye doc.

Condolences on loss: Sorry to hear of your loss & how that led you to being so depressed. My guess is that this is not your first time overindulging in this way. Yellow tinged eyes are usually not good things to see in someone your age who's been drinking. I believe you need to acquire help and a good physical checkup & other sorts of attention. Day after I drink alcohol I wake up with crusty eyes and sore fingers. Could this allergy or intolerance? If so what's in booze to cause this?

Not likely allergy: While allergy to a component of alcohol can happen, it is exceedingly rare. Food allergies also cause very specific symptoms in an immediate manner. You likely are experiencing effects of dehydration and "hangover.".

Get slight blurry vision in eyes when waking in morning. After few rubs and blinks it becomes normal. Why does this happen?

Get slight blurry vision in eyes when waking in morning. After few rubs and blinks it becomes normal. Why does this happen?

Dried eye fluid: Could be that you inadvertently sleep with your eyes slightly open, causing fluid to dry. A few rubs and away it goes. I assume no further symptoms throughout the day, such as eye discharge, loss of vision, redness in the eye, etc? If those occur, then see a dr. To be evaluated for conjunctivitis. Sounds like it only occurs in the morning and can go away.

Goodmorning Doc What can I use for my 6 year old daughter's eyes. When she wakes up in the morning she get white dry dirt in her eyes. Sometimes she complains that they are sore. Thank you?

See eye doc: This can be due to several causes, but the white dirt might actually be a form of discharge that accumulates overnight. Some of the causes of this type of discharge can cause inflammation/swelling and ultimately can even threaten the quality of eye sight. I would recommend getting a firm diagnosis if possible, earlier the better.

I have type 2diabetes. Why do I get aching legs in the morning after sleeping?

I have type 2diabetes. Why do I get aching legs in the morning after sleeping?

Could be many things: There are many things this could be. You should discuss with your primary care physician. It is possible that this is something called periodic limb movement disorder which is a correlate to restless legs syndrome but can occur without RLS which is an irresistible urge to move the legs while awake. However, you might have poor circulation or neuropathy associated with your diabetes.
