Why Do I Get My Old Ms Symptoms Back When I Am Heated Up
Whenever u get mad/angry or really pissed I get a sharp pain in my chest until I calm down.. I always have since I was younger, what causes this?
Muscle spasm: Anger releases "fight" type hormones and causes a variety of body reactions. Since you are a young female and have had this problem for a while (chest pain caused by anger, not exercise), it is probably not your heart. However, anger can increase heart attacks in susceptible people. Your pain is probably from acid refluxing up from your stomach into your esophagus, or from muscles tightening. ...Read more

I am a diabetic and whenever i lay down my feet start burning but when I am out and about they don't bother me at all i haven't been taking my medication on a regular cause it makes me sick
First : First let me address your statement about not taking your medication regularly because it makes you sick. This is the root of your problem because uncontrolled diabetes (high sugar) leads to something called diabetic neuropathy, which is nerve damage. This causing burning, tingling, and numbness, mainly in your lower extremities, and commonly at night. If you can control your diabetes, this will likely improve as well. In the meantime your doctor can prescribe medications to help ease your discomfort. Please schedule a visit with your doctor, discuss your problems with the medication you are currently on, and try a new approach. If you don't things will only get worse. Take care of yourself. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Hi I was just wondering every now I then I feel ill and get dizzy when I stand up and headaches how could I fix this?
?vasovagal?: If 'ill' is nauseous, you might be experiencing a momentary drop in heart rate and thus a drop in blood pressure that happens because of some asynchrony in the normal reaction of the cardiovascular system to standing up. But headaches are not typically part of this, so I would suggest discussing with your Primary Care practitioner who may refer you. ...Read more

Pain: It is hard to make a diagnosis without proper history and physical examination. However if you just suffered a stomach flu i assume that you were in bed for extended period of time. The back pain that you are experiencing could be due to musculoskeletal origin. Perhaps stretching and massage may help. If it persists or worsens check with your primary doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. ...Read more

How can I know if I am pregnant? My stomach and head have been hurting. I can't sleep on my stomach. I have been wanting to throw up and i get dizzy
I : I will assume by the fact that you are asking, that you have had unprotected sexual intercourse. Classic pregnancy symptoms can begin at the time you first miss a period. So if you have missed your period, you can take a standard home pregnancy test. You can take the early detection pregnancy test even before the missed period. ...Read more

I have been sick and my ears stopped up now I am better but my ears still feel the same what can I do to get my ears to open back up?
OTC Meds: It is common for patients to have ear complaints (feeling that they are "stopped up") after a cold. It is usually due to congestion along the lining of the their eustachian tubes. One thing that can help some patients with what you describe is trying sudafed for several days or even an otc sinus rinse (but dont use tap water - distilled is best). Visit your md if that doesn't work. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I get numb legs and feet rarely when I stand up they're numb and I fall. I get dizzy when I stand up etc. What could this be how do I relieve pain?
See your physician: Lightheadedness after standing up can be due to orthostatic hypotension if your resting BP is too low or you're dehydrated. It can also occur due to bradycardia, or slowing of the heart rate (HR). You could also have some vasovagal component. Long history of headaches. 2 lesions on brain, 1 old 4.5mm, 1 enhanced 3mm. Dr is saying MS but I have no MS symptoms. What could these be from?
Lesions: The fact that one lesion enhanced, presumably on mri, is what makes it more suspicious for ms. There are times when the diagnosis is made purely on mri. Your enhancing lesion is pretty small. You will need a follow up MRI in 3-6 months to see if new spots develop. People with headaches are very likely to have abnormal spots on MRI that are benign, but don't usually enhance. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Lhermitte's sign & oligoclonal bands found in csf. Had no other MS symptoms and mris (cervical & brain), bloods & evokes all normal. Will i get ms?
CIS: Lhermitte's sign is consistent with spinal cord lesion, and bands are about 95% predictive of onset of clinically definite ms in future, but if no lesions seen on either mri, it is not fully clear that your future deflinitely involves ms. If no symptoms, recommend supplementing vitamin d-3, approx 5000 units twice daily (level 50-60 ng/ml), and repeating mri's in 6 months, and if spots, start med. ...Read more

Fairly high, but: There are other causes for lhermitte's such as vitamin b-12 problems, and even lyme disease. Make certain that other potential disorders are excluded. Although the oligoclonal bands correlate very highly with ms, other immune disorders could cause presence. Maybe check peripheral nerve function on a screening emg, just to be sure. Most docs would do followup MRI in 6 months. ...Read more

Could I have multiple sclerosis even if my MRI was normal? I have a lot of the symptoms (muscle spasm, weakness, tingling down my back and legs), but my MRI didn’t show anything. Can an MRI miss ms?
Typically not: Mri is the most sensitive test available to aid in the diagnosis of ms. While there are rare cases of MRI negative ms, the vast, vast, vast majority of patients with ms have MRI abnormalities. Having said that, given your symptoms it would be important to know if the cervical and thoracic spinal cord were imaged. If brain and spinal cord imaging negative then not likely to be ms. ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers

You should: see a neurologist for the proper workup if you have not already. He/she can determine if you need another MRI or another study to rule out MS.
