Ouch!: Since ano-rectal spasm, while very painful, doesn't last long, medication isn't too helpful. Sitting on "the throne" and straining as if you were trying to have a bowel movement may help. An EEG within 10: Days of your last episode would likely show abnormal electrical discharges, if it were a seizure. An overnight sleep study with EEG montage would show why you night-wake & an epileptic pattern if your sensory symptoms are accompanied by seizure activity.
