Hard to say: This could be a cyst or many different things. I would think if setting is causing it then why would it not come and stay unless you are not setting in same chair or up more for the time period it heals. ...Read more

Sciatic nerve : It's sounds like what you are describing could be sciatic nerve pain, or sharp muscle spasm pains. If it's radiating down it points more to sciatica. If it stays local, probably muscular. Even if it's sciatic, the nerve passes btwn muscles and if they spasm they clamp down and can irritate the nerve. Give it time: Seems like a good wack...a contusion. Ice it 20 minutes every 2 hours for 3-4 days and then go to heat. Use Ibuprofen or Tylenol (acetaminophen). Keep up with range of motion and in 3-6 weeks it will go away.
