For example, if you think someone might be becoming anemic, but history, but the first lab comes back with a low-normal blood count, repeating the test might be appropriate to see if blood counts are falling. ...Read more

If using opks and blood progesterone tests, are ultrasounds to see folicles necessary when taking clomid (clomiphene)? Doc didn't order them, should I ask her to?
Necessary?: Most all fertility specialists monitor with ultrasound, almost no regular obg do. It may-or-may-not be necessary, but it is pro-active an gives alot more information than opk. I feel women with dead-on regular 28 day cycles can often use an opk; those who are less regular do better with ultrasound. Just my opinion. ...Read more
