My 5 year old girl is complaining about her neck hurting she is crying non-stop what can I do for her?
If she were my child: I would speak with her pediatrician or go to an urgent care center. I am not a physician, but 5 year olds do not cry and complain non-stop unless something is very wrong. I hope my answer will get some of the physicians to add their thoughts. It's friday night ; not too many people are online. ...Read more
Crying in infancy is described as a loud, high-pitched sound made by infants in response to certain situations. Infants have a cry reflex that is a normal response to some stimuli, such as pain or hunger. Older children and adults cry for emotional reasons such as pain, fear, sadness, or frustration. Premature infants may not have a cry reflex, so they must be monitored closely for signs ...Read more
Normal: Babies are built to function as their body demands and to stimulate us as well. Sometimes that means they are hurt, sometimes they are dirty and need changing, sometimes hunger. Babies also cry to stimulate mom's brain to tell it to make more milk. Even if not breastfeeding. The breastfeeding cycle is highest at night and thus more crying. Not only is this not bad, but exactly what a baby should. ...Read more
6month old baby girl. She's probably using crying to manipulate us. How long is 'cry it out safe' for her?
Common: To give babies credit for adult motives is a bit much.We teach them crying gets attention but must also teach them it doesn't always get all they wish.A 6mo begins to have separation anxiety & often cries just to see you.It might because of hunger, pain, dirty diaper, etc.but these you can attend to.Give it 5 and let her see you briefly to comfort & leave.Give it 10 then 15. Eventually she will sleep ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Probably normal: If your baby's poop is hard, that may be the cause of her crying. If so, giving 1-2 oz fruit juice, such as prune juice or apple juice, once a day can help. If the poop is soft, it is actually normal for babies to grunt, strain, and cry to have a bowel movement. Their muscles are not well-developed yet, so they must really work to do what comes so naturally to grown people - poop! ...Read more
Just broke up with my long term girl. I know that women use crying to release the stress and sadness from the body, but what can a guy do?
Crying OK!: Guys cry, too! And if you feel like crying, don't hold back. You can do it in private. Other ways to release pent up emotions are aerobic exercise, weight lifting, playing music, drawing, etc. You can yell at the top of your lungs in your car... Whatever feels good and doesn't hurt you or someone else. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
What can I do for my 2 1/2 month year old little girl. She is crying hard when she pass gas. I give her gas relief but she still cry real bad.?

However, an infant with a cow's milk intolerance from mom's breast milk or infant formula, may produce excess gas, increased gas cramps, spits up more immediately after eating or fussy throughout day.. Ask your pediatrician to check on possible protien intolerance. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
