What have you tried?: How do you know there is inflammation? Did your gastroenterologist tell you it was inflamed? Usually if it is inflamed they give you a prescription for medication. There really is nothing over the counter that works in the intestines. The medications over the counter work in the stomach but not further down. Talk to your gastroenterologist. See your: Doctor for an examination first. Try to hold off on the nurofen (are you taking the one with codeine?).
