No: Alcohol is a poison and it never did anybody any good, ever. If you are only 20 years old, it is illegal for you to drink alcohol. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Safe any time: The is an unusual prescription -- maybe intended to prevent bacterial vaginaosis (?). In any case, there is no concern at all about alcohol. Metronidazole, the active ingredient, is said to increase risk of nausea and vomiting with alcohol, but that's only when taking it by mouth -- and even then it's a rare problem. You don't need to avoid alcohol at all because of vaginal metrogel. ...Read more

This is a worse depression than when you started on the medication. The prosuicidal effect can last up to 72 hours. Alcohol can cause depression on its own anyway.
