See your doctor: You don't provide enough info for me to judge whether you had a urinary tract infection. Frequent urination alone usually isn't UTI; usually there is also pain/burning and urgency. It's still possible you had a UTI caused by bacteria resistant to cipro (ciprofloxacin). More likely, you didn't have UTI at all. See your doctor then follow her advice on tests, treatment, etc. ...Read more

OK in moderation: Probably you have a urinary tract infeciton, right? Heavy alcohol use can interfere with the immune system and increase the risk of complications from infections. However, alcohol in moderation doesn't interfere with treating UTI or other infections due to E. coli or other bacteria. You just don't overdo it. ...Read more
