See MD: It could be a bad muscle contusion but I would see your MD for evaluation. Especially if any note of numbness or tingling, troubles using bathroom.

Knee small effusion, cant bend knee.

Knee small effusion, cant bend knee.

Knee effusions: Or excess fluid in and around the knee joint are usually the result of trauma (to ligaments or meniscus), arthritis, or infection. If small, it may not need to be aspirated for diagnosis or treatment, but the fluid analysis can be very helpful in determining the cause. Pain and anti-inflammatory medication (including injectible steroids) can help along with rest and elevation. Can try these on own

Meniscus tear?: Some king of internal derangement of the knee is going on. Probably has to do with meniscus. You need an mri of the knee and an ortho. Doctor.

Knee injury: You should still go follow up with an orthopedist who will evaluate your knee and determine if you sustained a serious injury like a fracture or ligament tear that may require further treatment.

Cant bend my knee at all from trauma. What is the best rehab to overcome this?

Cant bend my knee at all from trauma. What is the best rehab to overcome this?

Try to bend: The best way is to gradually increase bending by your self or by the help of therapist. You can have local heating pad application for about 10 minutes before your bending. Initially, you might have some pain. Not make you too painful.

Orthopaedics consult: You need to visit an orthopaedic surgeon. Try not to bear weight on your injured leg, use crutches if you have them and visit the orthopedist as soon as possible. Good luck.

Depends on Ur age.: Young people still in the growing stage of life, make it very possible 2 have injured the tibial tubercle, . It should B evaled by an orthopedic surgeon, as if not treated properly it can lead 2 chronic problems. It's the prominence of the tibia just below the knee. The quads attach here so an stress on it causes pain. Flexion because quad is stretched, extension as the quad contracting pulls on it

I cant bend my knee back all the way without a clicking feeling and I cant bend down on my knee its swollen it hurts if I stand or sit to long the pain goes all the way to my hip and sometimes down to my ankle doesn't hurt when I touch it only when I move

Cartilage damage?: You could have an internal derangement that is causing your clicking and pain. If you haven't had it checked out yet, see an orthopedic specialist. He will need to know when the clicking occurs and what things make your knee feel worse. You may need x-rays and possibly an MRI.

See a dotcot soon: You may have in inguinal hernia and currently safe because it has not become entrapped. If it does get trapped the bowel can strangle and that can lead to complications so see a general surgeon soon

ER: You should go to the ER and have your leg examined by an Orthopaedic Surgeon. You should also have x-rays of your hip and knee and probably an MRI of your knee. If you are stable they may refer you to an Orthopaedic Surgeon in clinic as an outpatient. Stay calm and good luck.

Get x-rays: It is hard to tell if you may have broken a bone of the knee, injured a ligament, torn cartilage or just caused swelling. Anytime you have a hard time bearing weight after a knee injury it is a very good idea to be evaluated by a medical professional and have x-rays taken. If the x-rays don't show a fracture you may still need an MRI to assess for ligament, tendon and cartilage injuries.

When I bend my knee it hurts in front?

When I bend my knee it hurts in front?

Likely knee cap wear: The most common and likely cause of pain in front of the knee is an irritated or early wear of the knee cap cartilage or the surface cartilage of the thigh bone that it rubs. Other causes could include a meniscus tear, plica, patellar tendonitis etc. Some fluid build up in the knee causes cracking. Try therapy, antiinflammatories, ice and sometimes a knee sleeve. See orthopedist.

I can't bend my knee all the way back.?

Knee problem: Have u injured your knee? May have torn a meniscus with a piece getting caught in the joint space & limiting flexion. Another possibility is a baker's cyst at the back of the knee (unlikely at your age). See your pcp or orthopedics for full knee evaluation & options for treatment.
