Tape to 4th toe: You may have a broken toe. You'll need an x-ray to know for sure. In the meantime you can reduce your symptoms by buddy taping to the 4 th toe. Put a piece of gauze between the toes nat tape them together. A shoe with a stiff bottom that doesn't bend easily will help as well. ...Read more

Get a medical examin: An examination from your physician is necessary to be sure that you do not have growth or tumor affecting this area. An x-ray may be indicated. It could also be low grade infection. But only a physical exam from your doctor can sort it out. Do not delay it anymore as you already have watched it long enough. ...Read more

I stubbed my toe (the one next to the pinky toe) three days ago, and it is still badly bruised. Looks purpleish red, certain areas blackish. It's no?

I stubbed my toe (the one next to the pinky toe) three days ago, and it is still badly bruised. Looks purpleish red, certain areas blackish. It's no?

Buddy taping.: As long as the stubbing has not left your toe with some obscene angular deformity, either up/down or right/ left, your toe will probably do just fine with a minimal amount of help. The blood is from vessels that have obviously been injured. The key now is prevent further injury as well as stabilize the toe so healing can proceed uninterrupted. Splinting seems to work in most cases. ...Read more

Broken pinky toe? Stubbed it hard, its red and swollen. Cant bear any weight at all. Excruiting pain. No bruising yet. Been about 10 hrs.

Ice it: Definately could be broken, would recommend seeing a foot doc who will xray and possibly splint the digit and dispense a surgical shoe. The reason for the xray is to see if the joint is dislocated, if the fracture is intraarticular or if displaced. ...Read more

My big toe on my right foot got bruised a year ago and ever since, the left side has been puffy and red. Every so often, it hurts and gets puss. What should I do?

INGROWN TOENAIL: This is a chronic low grade infection with extra granulation tissue formation and pus inside. Soak ur foot in warm water in a bucket 30 min 1-2 times/day, put one tablespoonful epsom salt. Release the nail angle so that pus comes out. Remember, when you clip your nail, don't cut the corners, wear loose fitting shoes. See your podiatrist, you might need antibiotic and some surgical cleaning. ...Read more

Top of left foot nickel size bruise grey under that is red. Only hurts to walk put too much pressure on it. Toes. 3 4 5 hurt to move. No stairs?

Stairs are: Really hard because you flex the ball of your foot and usually bend your toes. You might have a small fracture under the bruise with that much pain and might benefit from a surgical shoe. I might not cray it right away but watch it and see how you did in that hard soled shoe. Ice it 15 minutes 3 times a day for a few days. (you did not say what you did or when but it sounds pretty new) ...Read more
