Tender rib cage: Could be costochondritis, or any inflammation of the ribs where they have muscle insertion or from cough.. May also be due to gastritis reflux H pylori( tx w/ ranitidine, abx if needed). Stop drinking alcoho: I assume by your statement that you're drinking more than one standard alcoholic beverage each day (sorry for sexism but men are allowed two), in which best thing for your health is to quit, or at least drop down to just one each day (no averaging to make up for skipped days).
