Not ovulating: Sounds like you're perimenopausal and your ovaries are not ovulating regularly. This leads to thickening of the endometrium and prolonged and/or heavy bleeding. Its probably time to see a gyn as you are at risk of endometrial hyperplasia. ...Read more

Possibly OK for you.: Each woman will have her own menstrual pattern. If you have always had short, light periods, then everything is probably OK. But if you have noticed a difference with your periods going from 4 days of average flow to 2 days of light flow, you should see your gynecologist for evaluation.
