The: The good news is that your heart is not failing, which would have been detected on the ultrasound of your heart. When this occurs your heart does does pump blood effectively which ultimately results in fluid accumulation in your lower extremities. As far as why you have swollen ankles/legs its hard to say. You may need to decrease your salt intake. Also if you have any pain, redness, or tenderness in your leg (s) then your doctor may need to do an ultrasound of your lower extremities in order to rule out blood clots. I suggest you schedule a follow up visit with your doctor in order to investigate this problem further. Best of luck.
Ankle swelling: There are multiple possiblities for ankle swelling in a 29 year old. Your doctor can take a history and examine you and determine which are likely causes in you.
Unknown: I'm not sure what "cll and a fib" stand for. A longer word would help. Besides that, ankles can swell for many reasons. Heart, lung, kidney, circulation, liver, lymph system can all cause swelling in the ankles. Patients on high blood pressure medicine often have swelling in the ankles as a side effect. Water and gravity: Our bodies have a large amount of water needed to keep organs functioning. The vessels that carry the fluids are not perfect and they can leak. Also, our tissues have a certain amount of water to stay moist and pliable. Gravity works to pull the fluids down towards the feet even in healthy people. It will worsen as the day progresses. Treatment is compression socks/elevation. Avoid water pills.See 1 more doctor answer
Support stockings: Support stockings can prevent fluid accumulation in the ankles and legs. See your local foot doc for the correct size and pressure and an evaluation for possible causes.
Edema: Many things can cause swelling of your feet and ankles. Local factors such as venous insufficiency or varicose veins, or phlebitis or blood clots of the veins can cause this. Liver disease, heart disease and kidney disease can also cause swelling. Malnutrition with low blood protein levels can cause this. If it persists you should be examined and have blood work.See 3 more doctor answers
Post skin Trauma: This sure sounds normal and expected. I do not know what question you are asking given the way your question is written, but any skin trauma, including swelling, can lead to bruising.
Without seeing a pic: It is hard to know exacdtly. Often times when there is swelling around the ankles people develop something called venous stasis dermatitis. This is from the heme in the iron leaking out of the blood vessels and staining the skin. Usually these reddish areas coalesce and form bigger areas. If this is what you have elevation, compression and restriction of salt in diet is good.See 1 more doctor answer
Stasis dermatitis: Some people who have chronic swelling of their legs and feet due to edema may eventually developed a type of rash called stasis dermatitis. This is associated with redness and sometimes there can even be clear fluid seeping from the area. Sometimes compression stockings can help but consider a visit with your doctor to clarify why you're having so much swelling and what therapy can be used to reduce it
Fluid retention: Edema of the ankles has several possible causes such as simple fluid retention from hormonal factors, excess salt intake, prolonged sitting, varicose veins, heart, kidney, liver disease, certain medications, etc. You may have to be examined by a physician for diagnosis and advice..See 1 more doctor answer

Edema and Azor (amlodipine and olmesartan): Azor (amlodipine and olmesartan) (az) has two medicines, amlodipine (a) and olmesartan (o). A is known to cause some fluid swelling which is made less severe by the o. The fact that you know have swelling, after being on az for 3 years without it, may indicate that you have a new problem that is causing your edema. Speak to your physician about it and she if you both can find an answer to your problem. Good luck.See 2 more doctor answers
