Why Am I Still Cramping After My Period
Lingering hormones: Some women can get the bloating and mild cramping days before and or after their period as the hormones associated with the monthly cycle wax and wane. Hope this helps.
The menstrual cycle begins with the shedding of the uterine lining, resulting in bleeding from the vagina. A few weeks later, one ovary releases an egg and the uterine lining thickens in preparation for a potential pregnancy. Pregnancy can occur at this stage if sperm fertilizes the egg. If the egg is not fertilized, the egg will leave your body and ...Read more
Had bad cramps during my period and now been having mild cramps after my period is gone. Why am I still cramping?
Maybe still some: Prostaglandins in your system causing it.Get a more detailed answer ›
Why im I still cramping after a week off my period and why is my peiod blood coming out brown before and after?
Cramping: You may be having an infection. You should see your doctor for an examination to find out what the problem is.
Since predinsone can delay your period...why am I still cramping like I'm about to start and never do??
Does not usually: Prednisone does not usually delay your period. Whatever illness you have that is requiring steroids may be responsible for a delayed period depending on what illness it is. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. Pelvic pain and cramping is a complex issue requiring a detailed in depth visit to determine the cause and treatment.
Why am I still cramping even tho my period has been over for two days? Is pregnancy a possibility or is it something else?
Something else: While pregnancy is always a remote possibility only 2 days after completion of your menstrual cycle, it's likely something else. It could be endometriosis, adenomyosis, it could be a polyp or fibroid (though at your age that would be less likely). I would see a gynecologist. If the pain is severe, they may order an ultrasound to look at the inside of the uterus. Good luck!
I had my period on the 17th of last month y am I still cramping n my my boobs are sore can u help me please?
Symptoms: If you have been having unprotected intercourse, a pregnancy test would be the first place to start.
Pelvic cramps: Hello, Aside from your period, you may have pelvic cramps when ovulating. Usually ovulation occurs anytime between day 12-16 of your menstrual cycle (depending on your specific cycle). If the cramping is persistent, then you may need to see your doctor. Based on exam, they will decide if a pelvic ultrasound would be useful.
That is possible: Whether you are or are not pregnant. Reasons for missed/late periods: low body weight, obesity, marked weight ^ or v, over-exercise, endurance athletics, breast-feeding, ^ stress, illness, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), anovulatory cycle (no egg released), travel, hormone irregularities, drug use, meds (i.e., birth control) or medical problems. #1 reason is pregnancy.
Could be bladder: Or uterus spasms, you need to discuss with you doctor, if this is bothering you at night, or interfering with daily activities
Many reasons: This can be normal but there may be some other problem causing you to experience more cramping than usual. You may have endometriosis or andenomysis or some other issue. This could also be normal. I'd recommend discussing it with your doctor.
Probably normal -: It's probably just a variation of normal - could be ovulation pain or even pain referred from your large intestine. If the pain becomes severe or doesn't go away on it's own - go get an exam. Also, if you're sexually active, it's always good to check a pregnancy test, even though you had your period.See 1 more doctor answer
Early Period: Any stress, physical or psychological, can cause your hormonal axis (all the interacting hormones) to malfunction and give you an early period. Usually these cycles do not produce an egg. Irregular periods also become more common in the 40s, especially the late 40s as women approach menopause. Menopause is the cessation of periods due to the aging of the hormone producing organs.
