Why am I still bloated and mild cramping after my period?

Why am I still bloated and mild cramping after my period?

Lingering hormones: Some women can get the bloating and mild cramping days before and or after their period as the hormones associated with the monthly cycle wax and wane. Hope this helps.

Menstrual Cycle (Definition)

The menstrual cycle begins with the shedding of the uterine lining, resulting in bleeding from the vagina. A few weeks later, one ovary releases an egg and the uterine lining thickens in preparation for a potential pregnancy. Pregnancy can occur at this stage if sperm fertilizes the egg. If the egg is not fertilized, the egg will leave your body and ...Read more

Still cramping after my period. Why is this happening?

Still cramping after my period. Why is this happening?

Possible reasons: For cramps after your period can include: remaining prostaglandins in your system after your period – causing continued cramps. Sometimes your period hasn’t actually ended – it has transiently slowed or stopped. Other reasons for cramping could be pregnancy or ovulation.

Since predinsone can delay your period...why am I still cramping like I'm about to start and never do??

Since predinsone can delay your period...why am I still cramping like I'm about to start and never do??

Does not usually: Prednisone does not usually delay your period. Whatever illness you have that is requiring steroids may be responsible for a delayed period depending on what illness it is. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. Pelvic pain and cramping is a complex issue requiring a detailed in depth visit to determine the cause and treatment.

Why am I still cramping even tho my period has been over for two days? Is pregnancy a possibility or is it something else?

Why am I still cramping even tho my period has been over for two days? Is pregnancy a possibility or is it something else?

Something else: While pregnancy is always a remote possibility only 2 days after completion of your menstrual cycle, it's likely something else. It could be endometriosis, adenomyosis, it could be a polyp or fibroid (though at your age that would be less likely). I would see a gynecologist. If the pain is severe, they may order an ultrasound to look at the inside of the uterus. Good luck!

Symptoms: If you have been having unprotected intercourse, a pregnancy test would be the first place to start.

My period ended but im still having cramps?

Common: Some ladies will have "dry menses" because their uterus continues to contract. An examination should be able to tell your doctor if it's due to another cause.

I'm off my period, why am I still having cramps?

I'm off my period, why am I still having cramps?

Pelvic cramps: Hello, Aside from your period, you may have pelvic cramps when ovulating. Usually ovulation occurs anytime between day 12-16 of your menstrual cycle (depending on your specific cycle). If the cramping is persistent, then you may need to see your doctor. Based on exam, they will decide if a pelvic ultrasound would be useful.

Why would cause period cramps but still no period?

Why would cause period cramps but still no period?

Pregnancy test.: If you have skipped a period, I would check a pregnancy test first. Unless you are taking certain birth control methods, you should be having regular periods. If you aren't, talk to your doctor.

Why am I still getting cramps after my period is over?

Not menstrual: If your menstrual cycle is completely gone, then the cramps may reflect endometriosis which your gynecologist could help you with or a colon problem.

Skipping a period due to stress, do you still get cramps?

Not usually: We see stress often affecting the regularity of the menstrual cycle through affecting the hpa axis in the body. Usually people don't complain of cramps, it is possible though to experience that. Please seek help, there is treatment and it is effective. Good luck and feel better.

I am still having cramps after my period is over why is that?

I am still having cramps after my period is over why is that?

Many reasons: This can be normal but there may be some other problem causing you to experience more cramping than usual. You may have endometriosis or andenomysis or some other issue. This could also be normal. I'd recommend discussing it with your doctor.

Just came off my period 3 days ago but I'm still having cramps?

Probably normal -: It's probably just a variation of normal - could be ovulation pain or even pain referred from your large intestine. If the pain becomes severe or doesn't go away on it's own - go get an exam. Also, if you're sexually active, it's always good to check a pregnancy test, even though you had your period.

Why do I still feel slight period cramps 1 day after my periods?

Why do I still feel slight period cramps 1 day after my periods?

Normal: The symptoms of the menses do not particularly quit just as the bleeding quits. There would be an ovarian cyst associated with the cycle, that can cause cramps and could persist for a couple weeks even after the period.

I still have 10 days left, so my period can come and I got cramps?

I still have 10 days left, so my period can come and I got cramps?

Early Period: Any stress, physical or psychological, can cause your hormonal axis (all the interacting hormones) to malfunction and give you an early period. Usually these cycles do not produce an egg. Irregular periods also become more common in the 40s, especially the late 40s as women approach menopause. Menopause is the cessation of periods due to the aging of the hormone producing organs.
