Why Am I Seeing Stars 28 Weeks
Hi i am 43 years old. I am 11 weeks pregnant. Actually from yesterday i have started bleeding and pain. i want to ask about this. ?
Bleeding/pregnant: Bleeding at 11 weeks of pregnancy is unusual, so go to your provider as soon as possible and obtain an ultrasound exam to make sure the pregnancy is still growing normally. There are other causes of bleeding at this stage which are not suggestive of immediate problems with the pregnancy. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I am 4 weeks pregnant and feel like I am going to start my period any second should I be converned about this?
Check with doctor: If there is no bleeding coming from the gestational sac, it may be from enlarged blood vessels on the cervix or an infection. Whatever is going on, if you're having any bleeding at 8 weeks of pregnancy, your doctor should be checking into the reason and giving you good understandable answers. ...Read more
Get about 7 1/2 hrs sleep/night. I get days I am extremely tired & whenever I am tired, my vision blacks out often & I feel dizzy a lot.Is this normal?
Abdomen is full: This would be a question to address with your ob-gyn, who knows you much better than we on healthtap do. Please don't delay. Sometimes increasing uterine fundal height can compress other abdominal organs, so that only smaller meals are tolerated. Still, getting good nutrition is important for you and your baby now. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I've had a migraine with aura a week ago. But I am still pretty sure that I am seeing wierd blind spots or dots. R they connected? What should I do?
I am 43 years old, I am a woman, I have purple bruises all over my back, back pain, foggy eyes, and I am exhausted. What is wrong?
What did your OB doc: Say your OB doc shoudl ahve given you very specific instructions and what to look out for , you should not be asking this ? Here because you should already know what to do, your doc should be following you closely with ultrasounds and I am sure they did a fetal fibronection and beta strep culture and u need to rest absolutely nothing in your vagina, no intercourse, and u may need im progerste. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Increased rest: You are by definition a "high risk" pregnancy because of your age alone. You should avoid straining, squatting, bearing down or any hi impact exercise. Increase time off your feet. Consider shortening your work hours and ask your OB about referral to a "maternal fetal medicine" specialist for further advice. Tho this may be normal if this is not your first pregnancy, i would take every precaution. ...Read more
For how long?: Depending on how long you have had floaters and how irritated you are by them will lead you to go see an opthalmologist. Possible er causes: retinal detachment, or retinal loss, or bleeding within the eyes. But those would be an emergency and i don't think you would have time to ask online. Unless you had them but never saw a dr. For comfort, slightly darker eyeglass lenses may help. ...Read more
I am pregnant 34 weeks now. First, should I stop taking calcium supplement?Second I have been lately feeling pain in my tummy it's like pressure.
Listen to your body: Calcium supplements can cause constipation which can cause pain. They are not necessary. If one avoids sugar, salt, and fat and eats wholesome vegetables and high quality proteins one gets the correct nutrients. If having dairrhea calcium is probably not the cause of pain. Pressure could come from gas. A tea made with 1 t of thyme leaves steeped for 5 minutes and strained might help. ...Read more
I am 4 weeks pregnant. I was on 750 mg of Depakote for migraines. I stopped immediately. I am very concerned. Any advise or positive info?
Likely okay: Depakote is a known teratogen and can cause congenital malformations as you probably read, in a developing embryo/fetus. If you are 4 weeks pregnant, organs have barely started to form, and you'll likely be okay. Be sure to take 800mcg Folic Acid and speak with your doctor right away so that he/she can add some extra ultrasounds to check for any problems. In addition, may see geneticist to discuss. ...Read more

Several issues: The effexor, (venlafaxine) as most ssri meds is a category c med meaning no evidence of harm has been found during fetal development, though animal testing may suggest some. Pediatricians like to be aware of rx as these kids can have subdued reactions at birth.I'm not aware of any effect your fibromyalgia would have on the baby & how pregnancy would effect your disease can be addressed by your rheumatologist. ...Read more
