Belly Pain (Definition)

Abdominal pain is pain that you feel anywhere between your chest and groin. This is often referred to as the stomach region or belly. Almost everyone experiences pain in the abdomen at one time or another. Most of the time, it is not caused by a serious medical problem. There are many organs in the abdomen. If my blood count is normal then does that mean my right sided abdominal pain is definitely not appendicitis?

If my blood count is normal then does that mean my right sided abdominal pain is definitely not appendicitis?

The white blood ...: count (WBC) is usually elevated in appendicitis. However, sometimes it isn't. In that case, there is usually at least a left shift to the cell differential. That means that there are nore acute inflammatory white blood cells (leukocytes) than normal (i.e., more neutrophils and bands, fewer lymphocytes). It is possible, but unusual, to have appendicitis with a normal WBC. ...Read more
