Big decisions...: Introducing extra hormones into your body for birth control is a big step, and very generous for you to do for twice-a-year visits. Have you thought about barrier methods like condoms or a fitted diaphragm+spermicide? Both easy, and condoms protect you from sexually-transmitted diseases. A depo-medroxyprogesterone shot works immediately, and is good for 3 months. Nuvaring works immediately too. ...Read more

It is likely ok: It is always recommended to eat healthy during pregnancy by taking in the appropriate and right amount of the different food groups. Assertiveness: training can be helpful. It's about respect for self, not changing the other person's opinion. A clinical psychologist can help. How do I get care from my doctor during off hours if I have not seen him for over a year?

How do I get care from my doctor during off hours if I have not seen him for over a year?

If you've missed: Appointemnts, you can't expect your doctor to take interest in off hours when you don't appear during regular hours. Depending on what your needs are (refills, form filled out for work versus ear ache, cold sore throat), i'd refer you to an urgent care facility (not an er). A doctor-patient relationship is mutual, not at your convenience and at the doc's inconvenience. ...Read more
