LE edema, CKD: if you have edema you may be fluid overloaded.Usually an increase in BUN( urea) which occurs in CKD causes itching but your burning may be a variation. Uric acid(not the same as urea) of 7 is upper limits , the edema is the real issue Call your renal doctor today or go to ER as you may need a water pill / IV to get the fluid off . You : You may have torn a ligament. Ligaments don't show up on routine x-rays, so the only way to "see" them is by having an MRI of your ankle. Unlike bone, ligaments receive a poor blood supply, so they take a long time to heal. If you have a little tear and have been walking around all this time on it, that could explain why you're still having a problem.
