I have a ear infection, and the "drainage" the doc said is causing my tongue to be white with swollen taste buds and what not, does that make sense?
Not likely.: Drainage from ear usually exits out your ear but it could drain down the eustasion tube into the back your throat. Th e white tongue could be side effect of the antibiotics you're on for the ear infection. The swollen taste buds could be from lack of water or trace metals in the meds. Depends on cause: What is going on with your tongue? Is there pain, swelling? Taste buds can react to hot, spicy foods trauma, and any allergies you may have. Ice, baking soda can help.
