White Stones In Stool
Scybalous stool: Add fiber, but cure depends on problem (do you have soft or hard stool?), circumstances under which constipation developed (dehydration, low activity, food intolerances, stressful times, ischemic gut, inflammatory colitis, past surgeries/ trauma with adhesions, rectal dysfunction), severity (stool volume, dehydration, bleeding, night-time awakening, weight loss), duration (acute vs. Longstanding?) ...Read more

I have had blood and mucus in my stool and was wondering what it could be. I was just diagnosed with endometriousis and have gall stones.
Colitis: Painless bleeding with clumps of mucus could be from colitis. It could range from inflammatory bowel disease like ulcerative colitis to a colitis from antibiotics like clostridium difficile. See your doctor for a thorough workup to include a blood count and even a colonoscopy. Is your stool changing to a light color like yellow? Then this could be from gallbladder. ...Read more
What could be the cause for my 19 month old to have stone like stool? And what can I give her to easy her pooping or stool
Hard to guess: Each child with constipation needs to be sure there is no other disease causing it. A pediatrician's evaluation is needed. We do not want a child to get chronic constipation. If constipation is due to slow movement of food and poop through the gut, then things to try are vegetables, water, prune juice, prunes, fiber-plus-water, Miralax (polyethylene glycol), senna extract, milk of magnesia, etc... ...Read more

My husband's been having loose stools quite often. He's recently had problems with kidney stones and I'm just wondering if this Is connected?
No, but...: Kidney stones are not directly connected with loose stools, but the drugs used for stone-related issues such as antibiotics, pain medication, or alpha-blockers, e.g., tamsulosin, may indirectly induce loose stools. I passed a kidney stone one week ago and psin meds constipated me. Now I have flat to penicil thin stool and excess mucus. What can cause this?
Constipation: This may very well be related to your bowel recovering from a bout of drug (likely opioid) induced constipation. Sometimes, when motility is acute affected it can take time for things to normalize. You may want sure your fiber intake is good, along with you staying hydrated, and active (activity helps constipation). If things fail to resolve in the next several days to week seek in person help. ...Read more

Recently diagnosed with gall stones now went to toilet notice pink tinge around stool then the second time I went looks like blood in water is red and can't see stool. Very worried it's cancer?
Gallstones: Gallstones would not cause blood in stool. Most common cause of bright red blood per rectum with painless BM is internal hemorrhoids. Diverticulosis is another common cause as we get older. Best to get an exam and possible colonoscopy. Cancer is possible but other items much more likely. ...Read more

Not likely: There would not be any direct connection traditionally between passing a kidney stone and blood in stool. It's hard to distinguish what it might be in this venue. Blood in urine: Given that you have 3 kidney stones, it is likely that the hematuria is because of the stones. Absence of pain is unusual but not unheard of. Other poss include cyst or tumor.
