One idea: Do you perhaps have transient lingual papillitis? It's not cancer. Read about it. Check with your physician next time you visit and they are present. Could be...: although sinus drainage tends to be more like mucous and not "spots". Other causes include thrush, leukoplakia, aphthous ulcers (if it's painful).
