Cheilitis: Cheilitis is the label applied to inflammation of the lips. When it occurs in the corners/angles of the mouth it is called angular cheilitis or angular stomatitis. It is fairly common. Nutritional (iron/B vitamins/folic acid) deficiencies are thought to be causes, as is allergy (contact with something irritating), & infection (yeast, staph, strep). Mucous in tonsil cry: most likely this is dried mucous in the tonil crypts. Gargling with water may help. If it does not hurt, it is probably not infected. Check with your otolaryngologist ...Read more

Need more info...: And i advise waiting for the official radiologist or nuclear physician report. What is seen on the technologist screen is not of the same quality as the physician interprets. Also, some physicians read them where lighter means more radioactivity, and others where black does, so your description cannot be accurately commented on. ...Read more

MS or not MS?: Iit is hard to find the cause of a symptom of tingling. The changes on your MRI could be related to your symptoms. When the LP is negative, it does not mean you do not have MS, but one must consider other causes, such as a virus of some kind, or other medical illnesses. It may help you to have some symptomatic treatment of your symptoms, maybe a nerve conduction study and a follow up mri. ...Read more

Could be...: although sinus drainage tends to be more like mucous and not "spots". Other causes include thrush, leukoplakia, aphthous ulcers (if it's painful). Try gargling with warm water with a bit of epson salt - gargle then spit out. If that clears it, then it probably is just sinus drainage! :) Thanks for using Healthtap! ...Read more
