Dropped a large cd player on to my big toe yesterday, pain getting worse, sore to walk on, on the big toe, what should I do?

Yikes!!: Start by applying ice and keeping the foot elevated. Consider not walking on it until it is determined if you have indeed fractured any part of the toe. Follow up needed: It is likely that you broke a bone in your foot with something that heavy striking it. If so, then that would have caused you to change the way that you bear weight on your foot and how you walk. If so, you may have caused secondary problems such as tendinitis. The pain may be due to that or simply that the fracture has not healed or is healing. An x ray will tell you and your doc the answer. ...Read more

Root Damage?: It's time to have the toe re-evaluated. The difficulty you are having know is either being caused from the bone or the nail. It is not all that unusual for the nail to become ingrown due to nail root damage during the fracturing of the toe. The timing makes sense. Have an expert do the re-evaluation. ...Read more
