White Particle In Urine Of A Baby
Concentrated urine: Concentrated urine means that you need to hydrate more. In the baby, it means you should try to get them to take more fluids. Babies should only drink breast milk or formula, 24-32 ounces a day, if under 6 months. Up to 6 ounces of juice can be added at 6 months. That usually takes care of fluid requirements. ...Read more

Question about constant smell of urine down there. What does it mean in 50 year old who had big babies?
My infant has decreased urine output and is teething. Is the decreased urine output something to be concerned with? He is eating and drinking normal.
Are those intelligender and gendermaker urine test real? Is there real science behind it? What hormones are they detecting to determine the babies sex
The companies: Don't reveal what the "science" behind the test is, but even the packaging states they're 50-50 accurate. Actually they're probably 100% accurate 50% of the time. Wait for your ultrasound. ...Read more
Infant son was diagnosed with a UTI using urine collected with a catheter. The results showed e.Coli count of 100, 000 cfus/ml. Is this a lot?
Yes: Girls get uti's more than boys because their urethra is shorter. However, as infants, boys also have shorter urethras. It is important that the infection gets treated and a repeat urine sample shows no bacteria. Also, make sure diapers get changed quickly so bacteria don't get a chance to cause infection. If your son has recurrent uti's then there may be a problem that a specialist could handle. ...Read more
I've had trouble peeing. Urine tested positive for U.UREAL\PARVUM-PCR. Can this be the reason? Can this affect us trying to make cute babies?
Could be....: Ureaplasma is found in most sexually active humans but it may also cause infection and if untreated can reduce fertility of both men and women. As far as "cute" there is no bearing as far as I am aware, but if that is discovered, I'm sure there would be an immunization for it. ...Read more
If bag for babies urine sample was contaminated can high level of white blood cell test be false? Also second bag for culture make test false neg?
No bags!!: If there is a significant concern for a urine infection in a baby, a bag specimen should never be used. It's akin to pooping on an area before a culture is collected instead of a nice sterile clean sight. The baby should be catheterized with a tiny feeding tube or small cath tube and a truly clean specimen obtained. So many false positives from dirty specimens and then unclear results. ...Read more
Since 2013 urine cultures show group b strep 50000-100000. Delivered 2 babies gbs+ for both. Is this somethig that will always show in my urine? Harm?
Maybe/not: GBS is an incidental finding in the poop of everyone. Because of the structure of the genitals it is a common contaminant of the female genital tract. As many as a 3rd of women carry it off & on at any given time. Other that a risk for vulnerable newborns and the occasional UTI it is considered benign. Oral meds will not eradicate it, which is why they are given IV during labor. ...Read more
Is it possible for a 3-4 months old infant to develop gout? Diagnosis was based on presence of urine crystals in diaper. No family history of gout.
Is there anything I can do to make my bladder stronger? (sometimes when I sneeze, I leak urine...Never pedictable)#nqlu I am overweight by 40lbs. Is weight a contributing factor to this problem? I've also had 3 babies...But have always had this issue.
It sounds like you most likely have stress urinary incontinence. This is generally secondary to weakening of the pelvic floor. Being overweight and bearing multiple children can both contribute to this issue.
As a first line treatment, I generally recommend physical therapy with a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic floor strengthening techniques. Weight loss may also help with your problem.
There are some off-label pharmaceuticals that have been approved for use in europe for stress urinary incontinence but none here in the states.
Your final option would be surgery which can include various slings with and without prolapse repair if applicable. I would make a visit to a urologist to get the low down on these options. ...Read more

No: In general, urine should be clear to pale yellow. Dark yellow or strong smelling urine is often a sign of being somewhat dehydrated. Try increasing fluids and see how the urine responds. If it stays dark yellow in spite of increased fluid intake and baby is urinating at least 5-6 times per 24 hours, you may have to have your doctor examine the baby and their urine for other issues. ...Read more

I JUST FOUND OUT THAT MY URINE IS 3+ BUT MY B.P IS NORMAL. I M 32 WKS. CAN THIS BE HARMFUL TO BOTH ME AND THE BABY?
Ur-in trouble? Find: 3+ anything in the urine is usually not a good thing but we'd need to know 3+ what: sugar? blood? protein? ketones? bacteria? etc etc. Without that, it's hard to answer your question except for you to find out what that 3+ is and ask how to fix it. They'll probably want to check the urine again to make sure. Further testing will depend on the exact results. ...Read more

I hv 1year 8 months boy baby, he will make urine so many times, he will not allw to touch his pennis, always he will be saying its buring, we contact.
Same as adults: Except babies can't communicate where it hurts so they just act uncomfortable, cry more often, change their eating/sleeping habits, etc. Babies are usually incontinent so it's impossible to check for any frequency or urgency in urination. However, because immune system isn't fully developed, we worry more about bladder infection spreading into kidney infection. So we need to evaluate/treat urgentl. ...Read more
