Red itchy rash under breast and groin area it looks like sun burn with bumps. I'm itchy all over but no rash other then those areas. What can this be?

Yeast infection?: If you are overweight, the areas under the breasts, the love handle, and the groin are more susceptible to candida infection. If this applies to you, try to keep these areas dry by using antiperspirant . In the meanwhile try some anti-fungal cream on the areas for a few days. If still not improved after a week, see you doctor. For overweight people, losing some weight should be a long-term goal. ...Read more

I have a sore throat with small red itchy bumps in my groin area. What could it be? Are they related?

Possible: Since viral infections can cause the sore throat and a skin rash, they may be related. On the other hand, I would expect a more generalized skin involvement when a viral infection is involved. If this has lasted for more than 10 days or been getting worse, see your doctor. ...Read more

What are these itchy bumps at my chin area and my jaw area?? theyve been there for months! Grows puss, clear, then repeat. Folliculitis? what are they

Folliculitis: Definitely sounds like folliculitis. Try better shaving technique. Make sure to use hot water to open pores and try shaving daily with a sharp blade to prevent curly beard hair from growing back into skin which can set up these types of reactions. Moisturize area after each shave to keep skin healthy. If there are signs of infection might need topical bacterial ointment. ...Read more

I get very bad red itchy bumps after shaving my pubic area which I believe is folliculitis. Should I just pluck the infected hair out?

Folliculitis: You are correct about the folliculitis. However, I don't recommend wasting your time plucking them out individually. If you are going to pluck them you might as well wax and save yourself time. There is no scientific benefit of shaving vs waxing for the removal of hair. Always monitor for infection. ...Read more
