White Fluffy Stool
I noticed white fluffy stuff in my stool today, and I have been having stomach issue for awhile now. What does this mean?
Why is it when I eat a lot of sweets I have like diaherra next day. Stool is like soft loose fluffy.
Good question, but..: Blood in stool is a warning sign. Brisk bleeding warrants emergency care. Causes of bleeding may be predictable (e.G anorectal trauma), but evaluation is always appropriate. If your symptoms were present before accutane - it's probably not the medicine. I would encourage you to see MD to rule out Chron's disease vs ulcerative colitis. Also if you have had anal sex may need specific STD testing. See MD soon - stool studies may be needed especially if having weight loss.

43wf. For the last 6 wks have fluffy stool. 6 on Bristol chart. Bright red blood on stool and toilet paper. The only change is diet. No bread rice potatoes etc. Shakes with soy milk nuts berries and whey protein, salads with fish, chicken. Worried!

Diet, blood: Stool will vary from light to dark depending upon the diet. Diets rich is red meat for instance will darken the stool color. If there is GI bleeding then the stool may become black. Bile: The greenish color in stool is the breakdown product of the bile when it has not been in the gut long enough to go through a change to yellowish or brown.
