Possible: But if symptoms have cleared so quickly on antibiotics, it may be strep. If you fail to recover, have a mono test down. Just as a caution, some antibiotics will give you a rash with mono. All the best. ...Read more

WELL,...: That is a discussion to be made between you and the surgeon. Once you had an appendicitis attack and "lived" to tell about it, there is always the chance you may have future attacks, and if you are not near the hospital (out camping for example), you may not be so lucky, so some may opt to have it removed now while at the right place at the right time. Viral URI?: All of your symptoms could be viral. If this has been less than 14 days, what's coming up is not thick green or yellow, you can probably avoid an antibiotic.
