I have a severe allergy to nuts. However, I am supposed to stay in a lodge that is located on a macadamia nut farm. Would this be a hazard?

Depends: Not from eating the nuts , but if you are not eating enough of other foods and drinking enough water you might get constipated and won't be healthy. Raw nuts are healthy but if roasted the fats in them becom unhealthy. Hope you are eating them raw! ...Read more
Are there benefits from monounsaturated fat? I'm eating macadamia nuts, and it has 20g mono & 3.5g saturated fat (24g total fat) per serving.
Good fat...: Yes...It is a better type of fat...We need fat in our diet, but unfortunately much of what we get is saturated fat--meaning from animal products. Often from nuts/plants, we get monosurated fat, a good thing. This fat is not as dangerous--not causing much damage to your blood vessels etc...So, monosaturated fat is a better fat to get.
